Victorinox Forschner 40190 Knife, 12 Inch Blade, Wood Handle. The Victorinox 40190 Watermelon Knife is the perfect blade for cutting up mouth-watering sections of watermelon. Nothing says summer like the juicy red fruit and nothing cuts through that summer sensation better than a proper watermelon knife. The 12 inch stamped blade of the Victorinox 40190 is superbly suited for powering through the thick outer shell to let you get to the succulent deliciousness inside. Equipped with a lightweight wooden handle that fits comfortably in your hand, this watermelon knife is a great blade to have handy when the summer months roll around.
It has a wooden handle, adding a touch of class to any culinary setting. As with all Victorinox knives, the handle is ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension and provides a natural fit. Hand-washing of wooden handles is recommended.
The blade has an exceptionally keen, razor-sharp edge. The high carbon, stainless steel blade is hand finished by skilled craftsmen at Victorinox in Switzerland. A special tempering process is used to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again. Each Victorinox knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished.
